I think that the practise I put in over the previous two years starts to show with this picture as it is starting to become more complete.  This picture is again mostly copied fragments from both The Lindisfarne Gospels and The Book of Kells.  I’ve started to become more confident with colour and also putting the design together.   I find that painting is now a relaxing occupation and I worry less about the detail and it flows much more naturally.  I have now found that I construct the next picture in my head before I have completed the one I am working on.  There is also a process of elimination as I have far more ideas in my head than I possibly have time to paint.  All the pictures to date have held a fascination in that they become more complete and meditative both for me to create, and also hopefully for the viewer to study.
