14. Stone Flow
9th April 2006
Penn’s Weare, Portland, Dorset

I got down to work in an area which although flat, had an area which had steep sides, a bit plateau like.  Went through several ideas while I started to work a new flowing river of stones.  Soon found that this had to react with the edge of the precipice to the plateau.  Work didn’t go well as I was distracted by the sound of runners (some cross country race going on) going by and also the thoughts of what had happened to the sculptures.

As sometimes happens, one woman shouted over that I wouldn’t find any (fossils I presume), and that I should look over towards Lyme and Charmouth.  There aren’t any fossils here.  I do feel that this lady was a bit disillusioned as there are many fossils in the rocks here. All you have to do is look.  But it’s not what I am interested in.
